We Will Remember Them...

In the week after remembrance Sunday, we at Ink On Cotton would like to add our own respect and gratitude for all who fought in defence of freedom and all who continue to do so.

Here is a story that caught our eye this week;

British artist, Nic Joly, has created a sculpture based around the poppy motif. A limited edition of 1,566 – one for each day of hostilities in WWI – has been made. Each one comes with specific information relating to events on that particular day.

£100 from every sale of Nic’s piece, ‘Never Forgotten’, goes to the Royal British Legion and the exhibition has so far raised £45,400 for the charity. His overall fund raising target is £150,000. The piece is available from Castle Galleries, Leeds.

So for anyone looking to buy a beautiful, unique piece of art, and help a great cause along the way, check it out.
